The work started with a simple observation: AI can only reflect what it was trained on. Which means it reflects us. Valley Girls was a snapshot of that reflection at a specific moment — before the uncanny valley closed. The model kept returning beautiful white faces. Getting a representative set required fighting it. That fight was the concept made technical.

The sky, usually where you put the dream, is real. The ground, usually where you put reality, is AI. We handed the ethereal to photography and gave the earth to the machine.
